MTD was founded in San Diego by James and Tanya Baum, who run the business day to day alongside a sourcing and dealer-relations team on both sides of the California–Baja border. When you buy from us, you deal directly with the people who own the risk — not a broker desk.

The cross-border advantage
San Diego sits twenty minutes from the busiest land border crossing in the Western Hemisphere. Tijuana's dealers want Teslas; California has the deepest used-Tesla supply in the country. MTD exists at exactly that intersection — with bilingual dealer relations on the ground in Tijuana, so agencias get the same straight answers in Spanish that California dealers get in English.
